We may place an authorized hold on your credit/debit card to cover the estimated rental charges plus up to USD $200.00 for Credit and $500 for Debit, for any additional charges that may be incurred. These funds will not be available for your use.

This cover is automatically included in the rental at no extra cost. * The level of coverage provided depends on local legislation and markets. Please check at Europcar station during pick-up. At time of booking Europcar always presents a summary of the covers included or excluded.

To rent a car in Italy, you must have a valid driver's license and your passport as proof of ID. You also usually need to have a credit card to pay for the rental deposit, though some companies will accept debit cards. You will also need a Collision Damage Waiver, which is a requirement in Italy.
